Hey all...  figured I'd update..

Well...  this week has been pretty much the same as it has been for the past couple of months..  So, no real change there...

Though this weekend should be fun.  I'm headed off to Acorn War with Kliffie this evening.  Finally, my first real event!  That and I get out of the house and away from the other two for a couple of days.  Kinda sad that Erika has to miss out...  ::shrugs::  but..  that's how it is.  Though, I hear that most of the people that I know aren't going or are just day tripping...  so...  we'll see how things go.

I'll report on the weekend either Sunday evening or on Monday.

Other than that...  not much really going on.  Just chilling around the house.

So my car got stolen a week ago today. Animals in the hood. Who the fuck steals a $500 car with out of state plates? Fucking animals in the hood. I'm still mad, which is a lot of progress for me considering the Rage and Fury that previously colored everything in vision. Luckily, we have reason to believe it really might have been a random theft, as Ann was about three shots away from slashing every tire in the neighborhood. So she's glad she didnt do that, I think, I hope.

Anyway, we got a new used car on Wed. Its a Chevy Lumina minivan. Yep, I's gots a minivan. Its fucking space age shaped, panaramic windshield, you could change a baby on the dashboard. This is good as Ann was slightly depressed about the whole "cant get a job without a car, cant get a car without a job" conundrum. But its better now. I think I have another part time cashier job, which will help but likely require getting another part time job. I have to pass another drug test, but that wont be a problem. Study for every test, thats my motto. AC however has struck a great job working maintanence grounds crew at a golf course. Sweet. He asked dude if he could bring the wolf to help deal with the geese problems, dude said they usually just bring out a shotgun, but it'd be cool. Sweetness, even Hunter gets a job.

Getting Little Miss fixed next week at a low cost clinic. Hooray for affordability.

Folks mentioned I got a package at the house. I think I got my stuff back. Nothing else needs to be said.

Holy shit, its been two weeks of political conventions Batman! Ann's been happy, we almost decided to go up to St. Paul and protest, but then the whole car getting stolen put a little dampner on that. Regardless, it was fun to watch both shows. Dems did great. Reps did fine. Joe Lieberman can go to fucking turncoat hell and if we pick up enough Senate seats for a comfortable majority, Joes going to lose his chairmanship on the Homeland Security committee. I'm not very impressed by Sarah Palin yet. She likes to take potshots, but she doesnt seem to have much to say on policy. Then theres the whole issue about how thoroughly she was vetted. She wont be dropped from the ticket, that hasnt been done since McGovern-Eagleton and its absolute certain political suicide. But it'll be a fun show.

If this was the same John McCain that ran in 2000, I would vote for him. But McCain got Rove-d in 2000 and he swore that he would never let that happen again. So now, he'll hire Rove and all his buddies. I like McCain. I think he's an absolute hero, humble and moral. But he sold his soul for this chance and he sold out his own personal values. It does present a fun twist on the election though. McCain is trying to run on the "I want to change things too" ticket, he's put in his ads how "we're worse off than we were four years ago". Who's been in charge for eight years? Has it been eight years of Republicans in the oval and four to six years of Reps also controling both houses in Congress? I think so. How can you be for change if you are the status quo?

If the only shot they can take at Obama is that he'll raise taxes, we win big. "What? A Dem wants to raise taxes??? What the fuck! How out of character."

Maine will go blue, we pick up Iowa. Pennsylvania will go blue. Florida will go McCain, as will Missouri. Battle states will be Ohio and Virginia, maybe New Mexico. VA may go blue. Colorado is a dead heat. Go to realclearpolitics.com for the spreads.

Its started to get colder up here. It was 58 and rainy yesterday, today I'm in a hoodie sweater and flannel pj pants. Brr.

They closed down the Star Trek Experience exhibit at the Las Vegas Hilton. They couldnt agree on a lease agreement. I'm very sad that its gone, but I'm very very grateful that I got to go and see it a few years ago with my father. I had wanted to see it when it opened in 1998, and I got to. It was awesome. I'm sad I wont get to go again, but I'm just so glad I got to go at all. It was the absolute shit. The photo of me on the bridge of the Enterprise in Picards chair is something that I cherish.

Life's been a ride, but its never boring. I bought this ticket, I'm taking this damn ride. Its my adventure. Coolness.

posiefairy
Due to the forecast of severe weather, I have decided not to set up my booth on Saturday at Rosemary House. I will be there for my performance time (I'll probably visit from noon until 2, unless there are alot of people there for the event) but that is most likely it

Sunday's forecast is looking much much better. I will be setting up my shop for that day!

Hope to see you!

I wouldn't say all is right with the world, but given the current situation...  it's doing alright.

Woke up this am at my normal time of 7 am...  but actually didn't get out of bed til 10!  It was great.  Especially since Erika lounged around with me.  It was great.  It's been a while since we did that...  just layed around in bed being silly.  ::looks at a select few people::  No there was no 'funny busienss' goining on...  ::continues to look at those whom I know will try to run with the comment::

After that, went out and did some errands...  Went and bought more inking pens  ::bown head::  I know...  I really should find my old ones...  but I reeeeaaaaly want to finish this project/gift...  And tomorrow will be a perfect time to do so.  So, I broke down and got more pens.  I have about 1/3 of it inked already.  I just need to finish inking what I have, draw the last 1/3 of the whole pic and then color it.  I haven't decided how exactly I want to color it...  if I want to use watercolors at all...  or not.  I'll probably just use colored pencils because I'm not really the best with the watercolors...  and I really don't want to mess this pic up and start from scratch...  I just hope they like it.  ::gets nervous::  I think they will...  but...  I'm the worst critic of my work so....

Anyway, back on topic...  Then we rant o Rite Aid to get some supplies..  then off to Philomath to take care of a friend's cats while she's away.  On the way beck home, stopped at the school to feed Andy (one of the school horses).  Got home around 1-ish and I started working on the pic right away.  Spent the rest of the afternoon working on that, reading webcomics, and talking with friends online.  Once 5 hit, it was time for D&D over at Kliffie's house.  Not everyone showed...  but we still had fun.  ::mumbles about stupid she-wolves and lightening::  I'm still learning the ropes, but it's still fun.

Now that brings us to here.  I'm tired...  but I don't want to go to sleep.  ::yawns::  I really should though...  ::tries to ignore the call of the bed and my pillow::

Life is really depressing... [30 Aug 2008|11:46pm]

[ mood | sad ]

...did you know that?  If you don't want to listen to me just ramble about how unfair things are, just ignore this post and go on with your happy/blissful (ly ignorant?) lives...  Nothing to see here folks....

Just reorganizing some stuff...  found depressing paperwork (the 'your fired' letter form OSU)...  entirely too much paperwork for my Grandmother's will/land...  old pictures from happier times...   too many projects that I've started and haven't finished yet (I think the total is somewhere in the high teens...) and am to unmotivated to finish....  bills.... books that I don't have time to read...

And to top it all off...  the whole reason that I was doing said reorganizing....  I still can't find my flippin' pencil pouch!  It's been MIA for a while now...  and I've, along with Erika, have practically tore the whole house apart and we still can't find it.

It wouldn't be so bad...  but I'm working on a gift of the arties...  and I *neeeeeeeeeed* my pencil pouch...  it has all my good inking pens...  well, all my inking pens actually.  ::sighs::  I really don't want to have to go out and by more.... I may have to.  I really would like to get this drawing done...  like by Monday evening...  ::sighs again::  And I have a feeling, with my luck, that as soon as I go out and buy more, I'll find the fucking pouch.  ::grumbles::  I hate my luck.  ::goes off and tears apart the house again looking for pencil pouch::

Relaxed..... for now... [29 Aug 2008|11:11pm]

[ mood | relaxed ]

Well, today wasn't a bad one on the scale of badness that I've been rating my current days on.  It was actually one of the 'best' that I've had in a while.

Even though I woke up extremely nauseous and ready to pass out, I still attempted my yoga this am.  Though I didn't get very far.  I pretty much only fully completed the warm up and cool down without the feeling of passing out.  It was bad.

Then I surfed the net for a while, just looking up random stuff online.  Then around 4-ish I had to go pick up my baby form the dealership (I'm talking about my Jeep folks....).  There was a recall on the radiator fan...  something about exploding at high speeds and causing all sorts of injuries....  ::shrugs::  So I dropped it off in the am; surprisingly they had the replacement part in stock when I called on Wednesday.

So that got fixed...  and amazingly the issues that it was having resolved!  Imagine that...  the thing was idling roughly and if the heat/ac was turned on at all the whole car would shake and make not so nice noises...  But now that's all better...  I'm hoping the old fan was just warped and when it kicked into higher speeds for the heat/ac it was just shaking and throwing everything else off.  That's what I'm telling myself anyway.  ::grin::

Then tonight, Kliffie came over and gave both Erika and I massages.  Hence the subject title...  To make a long story short, the only thing that's stopping him from actually working as one is he doesn't have his license.  He's a masseuse, he just can't get paid for his work.

So, we'll see how long this foreign state of relaxed-ness will last.  Hopefully for a while.  Not really planning on anything for this weekend...  Will be checking in on a classmate's of Erika's cats since Dave is out of commission due to his treatments this week.  And we're trying to convince Dorothy to take us to the state fair tomorrow.  But we'll see how that goes.

::waves and leaves the room::

Faeriecon? [29 Aug 2008|07:31pm]

posiefairy
Just checking in to see who is attending Faeriecon in Philadelphia this year...

Last evening my friend Shane confirmed that I will be assisting he and his lovely wife Leah at their booth, Miscellaneous Oddiments. While he did say that they do not have a hard and fast "schedule", I will be working the booth on Saturday and Sunday, helping to sell their beautiful masks and other artwork as well as taking their adorable 5 year old daughter Ellawyn for walks around the convention center...

I purchased fabric today for a new costume, always an exciting prospect!

Let me know if you are planning to attend!

I walk a thin line every day.  A line that's maybe about the width of a single hair.  Lately, all I've been coming across are split ends.

I'm tired.  I just want to be done.  Done with it all.  Unemployment, fighting, the childishness of others....  I just want it all to go away.  Find my own little corner of the world and set up my own little retreat that I only let a few select people into.  Eat, sleep and have sex.  No cares in the world.  None at all.....

I wish my life was uncomplicated.
